Great value for money with a beautiful and comfortable room. Convenient location for exploring the Dordogne, with a charming town nearby. Maurice, the host, is delightful, welcoming, and provides helpful information.
Breakfast selection could be improved with more variety.

The decoration at Villa Florida was simply charming. The subtle accents and meticulous attention to detail really created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated how well thought-out the entire hotel was, from the well-lit guide lights to the comfortable and accessible common areas. It was a delight to spend time in such a beautifully decorated environment.
It would have been even better if there were more activities or entertainment options specifically tailored for senior guests.

We stayed at Villa Florida for a short vacation and had an amazing time. Maurice, the host, was incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting us with a drink and making us feel right at home. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a characterful touch. We loved being able to step out of our room and have immediate access to the pool. Maurice provided us with a map and pointed out all the interesting local attractions. The breakfast each morning was plentiful and varied, and we also enjoyed the delicious table d'hôte dinner prepared by Maurice. a fantastic place to stay whether you're exploring the area or just passing through!
Totally recommend this hotel.

The double room with a balcony at Villa Florida is a dream come true for a weary traveler like me. It's like having my own little sanctuary where I can relax and enjoy the stunning views. The electric kettle is a nice touch too, perfect for making a cup of tea before bed. And let's not forget about the soundproofing - finally, a peaceful night's sleep!
Personally, I'm not a big fan of the soundproofing in the room. I understand that some people might find it helpful, but I prefer to hear the natural sounds of the surroundings.

The breakfasts were delicious and generous, with new additions each day. The rooms were bright and had a nice view of the pool and valley. The host, Maurice, was friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home. The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to sightseeing activities and a big plot for outdoor games and swimming in the pool.
The rooms were quite small, which could be a bit claustrophobic on cold and gloomy days. The common area closed early in the evening, leaving us stuck in our rooms with low lighting.

the location, food, and accommodation were all brilliant. the host, Maurice, made me feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. He even cooked us a fantastic meal where we had the chance to make new Argentinian friends. Maurice's warm and friendly personality made the experience even more enjoyable. the room was clean, comfortable, and had its own character, and I loved being able to step out from the bedroom and be right by the pool. Maurice also provided helpful recommendations for things to see and do in the area. the breakfast was plentiful and varied, and Maurice's culinary skills were evident in every meal. Villa Florida is a great place to stay for exploring the area or for a passing through visit. Cons: Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like! 😊.
